Okay, so the planer leveled the entire surface? I was wondering if the piece would survive the planer after glue up.
How long were the raw pieces you used? I'm assuming 22" at the minimum?
Well I used my safe-t-planer since the body was too wide to go through my planer. If I had larger tools I would run it over a jointer first and then through the planer to get the other side. I usually make my body blanks 24" long roughly. Gives me enough room to move the body around to find the best figure.
This is possibly the most awesome thread ever, great build. I love it, great job man.
Thanks.
Is the veneer plastic or of some wood type? Can you give me the item number of the stuff you ordered?
It would be VB6, the dyed black veneer .6mm thick.
I'm thinking those are fiber veneer's. I'm going to try out some soon.

Thanks, glad you like it and put me on your website. I appreciate it.
Dude, your work is really great! I'm in the middle of a Rainbow bass build too...Now I want to go post my stuff!
Thanks again, definitely make a thread about your build. I'm sure many others would like to see it as well.
