Jersey Shore!

I do nothing more than watch the show, don't think I find any of them idols and intelligent. They are far from it. But to me, a 19 year old college student, the show is extremely entertaining.

I don't knock you for watching it. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks! :)
My point is that I've dealt with people like that in real life and now the thought of watching a show glorifying idiots like that really rubs me the wrong way... I don't mean to put you down or anything in any way. Chances are you may not have dealt with folks like this on a regular basis so find their drama and behavior amusing. Just guessin

I take it you havent watched, Relic?
The show does anything but glorify these fools. It shows them in all their stupidity.
Its the people who buy into the celebreality thing that glorify them.
Just because theyre on TV they must be special types.

Im 27 and fell the same way. My wife is 29. Just entertained by other people's stupidity :D

I am biased. I'll admit it.
It's just that when I was younger, we used to head down to the shore a lot - almost every weekend. Unfortunately so did idiots like these people. Since we were long-haired rocker-type dudes idiots just like this made it an absolute point to mess with us wherever, whenever they could. I cant tell you how many fights I've been in...and I'm actually a super peace/love and understanding type guy,

you would pretty much be forced into it.I still, 20 years later HATE idiots who act like this... and now the thought of glorifying people like this??
Again - just one taser to the nads to whoever thought this up!!

EDIT yeah Matt, I saw one episode, that's all I could stand. As far as glorifying - I dunno, these people are ego-monsters and they've got their own show, publicity agents, money, fans...is that not glorifying their behavior?
Snooki
There - I mentioned one name, yet we ALL know who she is. Why?

I know those types all too well. Its probably just because I dont associate them with the Shore.
Im all for tasering the guy who created the show, though.

I dont equate fame with glory. To me, glory comes along with accomplishment.
We all know who Snooki is because she's famous, not because she's done anything worth noting.

My cousin got me watching it and I watched about half of one season and then half of the last one in Italy. I stopped watching because it just seemed like it was becoming a parody of itself. That and I don't like feeling sticky while I'm watching tv (take that as you will) :)

I've only ever seen clips of this show on B&B. From what I gather, the show seems like a filmed daycare center for special needs children. They all hop in the van and the caretakers (the producers I guess?) take them on field trips to various places where they slut around, start fights, and ultimately get kicked out.... Then they load up and go back to the house where they can dye each other orange and compete on who can be the biggest stereotype....

Am I close?
