I am biased. I'll admit it.
It's just that when I was younger, we used to head down to the shore a lot - almost every weekend. Unfortunately so did idiots like these people. Since we were long-haired rocker-type dudes idiots just like this made it an absolute point to mess with us wherever, whenever they could. I cant tell you how many fights I've been in...and I'm actually a super peace/love and understanding type guy,

you would pretty much be forced into it.I still, 20 years later HATE idiots who act like this... and now the thought of glorifying people like this??

Same here, lest the fights. I'm not into fighting, but agreed, it's incredibly, incredibly easy to have yerself one with them there people.

As much as I hate to admit this, my only nephew is one of those guys. He could easily replace anyone on that show and fit in perfectly. Ironically enough, he's also the only guy in the past 20 years I've come close to actually getting into a fight with. On more than one occasion I had to be the adult and just walk away knowing he's my flesh and blood. Plus he'd probably kill me as he's now a corrections officer and outweighs me by a good 50 lbs.

As for the show itself, in some weird way I'm happy for their success. What are the chances of someone like any of them stepping in the crap they did. If there's one thing I think that bunch has, it's that they're incredibly comfortable with the people that they are, regardless of what that might mean. Snookie had to feel damn good about herself to get to where she got, given what she's got. I think they're all incredibly fortunate, and I'm happy for them, for that.

I'm having a hard time believing there's someone bigger than you

Same here. I didn't even know any of them were Italians.

-Mike

I don't think the entire cast is Italian. Snooki's Chilean, if I recall correctly - but I think she was raised Italian. Why do I know that piece of trivia? :rollno:

I think I've watched one entire episode, though I'm quite aware of the premise of the show. I'm not sure, however, if it's a celebration of the least common denominator or if it's really some sort of meta-irony that's not ironic on the surface, but its irony is revealed through careful deconstruction. :hmm:

Anyone whose name is "The Situation" is automatically a douchebag. Period.
