then I bought a distortion pedal

Now I use the limiter with a Boss power supply

But I mean, voltage sag simulation could be a good way to get the sound without possibly risking a rare vintage pedal, or could introduce it to a pedal that couldn't sag on its own (digital or otherwise unable to perform under voltage). Might be on to something there!

yup. voltage draining is a very real thing, and already exists in many fuzz pedals.

I still would love to know what happens if you buy the battery sim from JHS website - i think it may be a JHS volture in a funnier enclosure?

I'd love a volture to use with envelope filters.
