The Emperor's New Cloths..The Mini doesn't even have a volume knob or an on/off switch. They're obviously going for the most minimal setup they can get away with. And they're flying off the shelves.

The 100 limited edition ones did. Is there any evidence the standard production versions are?
I think the production model is exactly the same minus the numbered neck plate and maybe the certificate.Out of curiosity, was there any indication that the basses themselves were a limited edition? From what I read, it seemed like the only difference was the first 100 came with a "certificate" or something. Were the first 100 basses actually different in any way from what they're selling now?

More than 2000 balloons and no case?! I checked the website, they don't mention cases for any instrument.I think the limited run also came with a fancy G&G case. The case isn’t mentioned with the production model.
My guess is the rest of them will come in a standard EBMM case, which is nice in its own right (I own a Stingray Special).More than 2000 balloons and no case?! I checked the website, they don't mention cases for any instrument.

This is EXACTLY why I sold my Caprice. Sounded great at home, got buried in a live setting no matter what I tried. Shame, too - EBMM completely re-did the bass under warranty before that.I took the JD II along with my G&L Big Chonks to band rehearsal last night. In my little home studio, I noticed the output of the pickups was a little bit low but was curious to see how it would sit in a mix..... The bass got absolutely lost. I'm a bit concerned actually and decided to test the resistance of the pickups with my multimeter. Testing directly on the vol pots each pickup was at 4.4k at 20k ohms which seems VERY low. This may explain the low output that I experienced. I'm going to reach out to EBMM support to see if this was a flub or if the pickups are supposed to be low output like this.

You need the vulf comp!Maybe it only works the Vulf way - compress the hell out of it then put on a ton of make-up gain.
YMMV.
Will, his first signature bass is not a nice sounding bass. I am surprised that they built a second signature bass similar to the first crappy bass.I took the JD II along with my G&L Big Chonks to band rehearsal last night.
