John East Preamp

I’m taking out my John East Preamp and Delano pickups and plan to sell them. They just didn’t do it for me.

I have two Kiesel Thanos Jazz style basses The first I purchased new with Kiesel’s stock preamp and stock humbucking J pickups, and an option mid-sweeps for the preamp. The second one I got used with single coil pickups and a preamp with no mid sweeps - that’s the one I changed out to John East and Delano.

No matter what I did I just never got a sound I was happy with. I used it on about 4 gigs and it just never sat right on the mix or cut through like my other Kiesels.

I the new Thanos out on a few gigs the last few weeks through the same rig, and it was night and day. The only real difference between the two were pickups and preamp. I should have spent the $ on the stock Kiesel stuff the first time - oh well. To each their own…
