John East UNI 4 knob preamp question

Can't comment or help on the J-bass install, but have used this preamp on a rear-loaded bass that has been my main player for most of the last eight years...recently subbed out the Duncan NYC soaps for Nordstrand Big Blades, which is proving to be an excellent match.

There is a Peavey Grind 4 NTB for sale near me that looks like it has a giant swimming pool of a cavity on the back and has a four knob setup (V,V,T,T). The price isn't too bad and I wanted one years ago when they were hanging in every music store. Loved how they look with the natural finish and multi-ply laminate neck. May go snag it and use this preamp in it.

I did something similar. Went with the 5 knob. Combined it with Bart pups. VERY tight fit, but worth it.

I have a UNI 4 in my Dingwall NG

Bridge and Middle go toa d-roc 4 way switch, that goes out to the bridge PU on the UNI. Neck goes to a DPTP for series/parallel and that swith goes to the neck PU on the UNI.

Fits well, had to play with position until I got a layout that made sense and that I liked but no major issues at all
