I saw Karnivool last October in Amsterdam on the Asymmetry tour, and managed to meet all of them over the course of my two day stay. they're all super nice guys, even though i had to apologise for how stoned I was talking to them.

Another great Australian band I discovered along the way is Breaking Orbit Check them out if you like 'vool and DLC.

As an aside, anyone who digs the vocalist of Karnivool might like his other band, Birds Of Tokyo. Nothing metal about 'em, but great catchy rock songs nonetheless.

I definitely enjoy Birds of Tokyo. I just heard them on a local minneapolis radio station! Are any of the other members of vool in Birds of Tokyo?

Although I wouldnt say they were all that much like vool or dlc(which dont sound similar to me either) I will say im digging this so much ive dug a hole around me. Seriously. Ive listened to the whole album 3 times in 12 hours. Thank you. Looks ill be sending some loot to these fellas.

Breaking orbit are brilliant.

Thats the thing with these aussie bands, some of them dont sound alike, but they're just amazing. Getting into Karnivool has turned me onto:

Cog
The Butterfly effect
Breaking Orbit
Twelve Foot Ninja
Birds Of Tokyo

and none of them sound alike.

Flynn and Luke of Cog are in a new band called The Occupants with an album out this year.
