The current Jaguar H is a 32-inch medium scale. Some Jag basses are short 30-inch scale, others are regular long 34-inch scale. It depends on the model and year of manufacture. Yes, right now I have a full-length EB Stainless flat E string on it, waiting for it to break from the speaking length binding around the tuner post, spare in hand, with one of the last sets of N.O.S. La Bella 760FL-M on the way. I just don't like putting anything but the silk (or taper or leader, whatever you want to call it) around the tuner post, especially on the E string. A and D strings are usually far enough up the headstock it doesn't matter, and the G string is thin enough it doesn't matter, whether 4-inline, 3+1 or 2+2 tuner configuration.
