Joyo Ultimate Drive decal job

Following on from my Dr J Sparrow refinish, I decided to go over my Joyo Ultimate Drive. Previously, I'd sanded the original paintwork, sprayed it off-white, and simply hand-drawn the letters on with nail polish and a Sharpie. It wasn't quite as amusing as I envisioned, so here's what I did instead.

Sanded back the white, and went with an ivory color. Not sure how well it matches the OCD, but it feels more boutique-y. Then I printed a decal I designed.

Applying the decal was pretty easy, and I was really happy so far.

BUT...

I then used a clear spray to seal the whole thing, and this (I learned afterwards) is apparently a no-no, because the solvents in the spray react with the decal paper. It kinda became floppy under the clear coat, and was shifting around, shrinking & wrinkling as it dried under sunlight, the washers where the pots attached made a bulge, and it was very susceptible to even the mildest damage.

However, after all that, the mistakes aren't noticeable from a distance, and the joke works pretty well anyway.
