JPTR Bass Jive

So i've ordered a Deluxe Jive last month and this pedal Kit is also currently on the way (ordered 2 weeks ago). This pedal kit was sent through DHL 10 days ago but has not arrived yet. The OG jive was a clone off this circuit i believe, with extra 3 switches added.

I don't have any experience building a pedal but im going to start with this kit. This is relevent because if i can build this thing and get it working while i wait for my Deluxe Jive to be shipped then i will be cancelling my order regardless of how good this Deluxe Jive will be. Ridiculous that its taking so long and little updates given to the paying customers doesn't show a lot of respect given.
Literally an hour ago:

Not on the social media. No emails sent out to tell the customers who have paid updating them??

Also they say they are now working on the Jives, yet no time mentioned for when they will be ready. When will these be ready?? Would be good to give the customers some precise information regarding their orders.

First time buying a JPTR effect, eh? They generally communicate via instagram outside of specific scenarios like the bug on the v1 bass jives.

Not that I am justifying their lack of transparency, but it feels like they don't really care to give those details out. Whether that is due to their own uncertainty (things stuck in customs, backordered or whatever the case may be) or simply so they don't have people hounding them for being behind on delivery or similar is tbd.

If you read this thread, you would know what all of us went through that pre-ordered the Bass Jive. Months and months of no communication, no updates, no real assurance we would ever see a pedal.

I understand the frustration, but have come to just order and forget about it with JPTR. It will show up eventually. If I need something on a specific timeline - I buy second hand or find an alternative product.

Re: that kit - It looks super straight forward. Just make sure you note the orientation on the electrolytic capacitors and use a decent soldering iron.

I've bought and had and original Jive since 2019 pal. Hasn't left my board, it sounds great with bass. No it isn't my first time buying off them.

I have obviously read the thread having commented on it numerous times now.

I'm just used to dealing with professional builder's who let the customers know instantly what's going on from point of purchase. Yeh it's frustrating and disrespectful.

I agree with you.

I thought it’d be funny to point out that in the time since I ordered a Bass Jive, I have gone on a 7 week tour, my wife is now 28 weeks pregnant, I have been told by Instagram that JPTR is “working on all the Bass Jive orders” three times, and received 0 direct communications about it.

I am legitimately curious what will arrive first, my son or this pedal

Congratulations on your upcoming progeny.

I did the November order and still waiting...hopefully soon! I'd definitely be disappointed if people start getting their deluxe jives before i get my bass jive
I know what you mean but it’s totally possible if they’re doing Bass and Deluxe variants side by side. I almost expect this to happen lol. Hopefully we’re next though (October 31st here).

Frost Giant has had it about a month now. Apparently JPTR finally heard from them and it's fixed but Frost Giant hasn't sent it back yet. That was last week. Maybe @Ratterbass_ can just get JPTR to send me a new one at this point
Back of the line you go mister! Haha, jk.

Hope you get yours back soon and in perfect working order.

I'm really hoping these get sent out this week as it sounds like they built them last week.
