Jule Amps Monique part 5

I always make sure the line level knob is fully off (completely counter-clockwise) before pulling out or pushing in.
Like everyone else has said, I turn it on, get all my gear set and it is ready to go.
You will find it very hard to get a bad tone out of Monique! It is that awesome!

At rehearsal yesterday I boosted the mids and it didn’t sound odd or off. No one in the band noticed or mentioned my tone being unbalanced etc. I did notice it when I engaged my bass soul food but that does push the mids. I adjusted the amp and pedal to suit and carried on. I guess my point is that Monique didn’t sound bad with the eq pushed (sensitivity was up past noon too) but the inherant eq in the BSF did have more impact. To me that says a lot about how good the eq is as the boosted mids on their own were sounding just fine.

Excellent suggestion. Over time, I have grown increasingly intolerant of loud pops and bangs, and this stops that from happening.

Yeah, there's something to Jule's active EQ compliment on these preamps. They're really musical and even the extremes aren't unpleasant. I particularly like the fact that the controls are really simple and intuitive. I share my amp lots...we do our best to bring in other local openers or do dual-headline shows and share kit and bass setup for ease of travel and shortened load in and change over. I love telling whoever 'yeah, just do whatever you want with the EQ' and know that I can always get back to my own sounds. Also, other players ratchet down their stress level when they're faced with a simple control set...and still sound fantastic.

Although I do have people confused as to the additional switch and lights on my 'mo. ;)

Here's a few bits of Monique from a 2 night stand we did at the end of September. Monique stayed on stage for both nights and was running between 6pm and 2am each night, each band. Never complained at all. I generally run a small board that's got a tuner/mute, HPF, etc. so I don't usually turn the preamp level down. but I'm also not clicking between the low and high signal push pull.

Didn't want anyone to think they were stepping on my toes. I can't imagine that this one will be around long. I don't know that Jule has made a whole lot of these since they were released in spring of 2016. For anyone who's worried about headroom...

After a few years wandering in the wilderness I’ve just received my Mo’700. Thanks goes to Jule for his friendship and patience over the past few years.
Well ! I hooked her up to a 1203/b46 combination from Duke and broke out my fretless Skjold. I fiddled with the knobs and lo ‘n behold a wonderous woody tone emerged from the speakers. My French bullies ears perked up and all was right with the world for a moment!

Get a good case to transport it.

Let it cool down at least 30 mins before moving it/ putting it in the car.

Get ready to sell your old unused neglected gear.

P bass + Roto rounds + pick = Perfect grindy Rock tone.

Music to my ears :D Thanks for the suggestion about letting it cool down before transport. I'm on the lookout for a 5-6U case. Even though the size is awkward I like it better than two separate cases
