Any opinion is fine with me, as long as I learn something from it.

That's a good attitude. The important thing of course is having your own "filters" (or a big grain of salt handy ;) ) to figure out which opinions are well-informed.

Personally I don't believe musical equipment is necessarily at its best when mass-manufactured in the most efficient way possible using the cheapest components possible. I don't say Behringer is crap, but personally I prefer instruments that were built with attentive care, one at a time, using the best-sounding components regardless of cost or efficiency.
 
I will generally agree that Behringer sucks..

But at the same time, I have to admit that I've got a little 6-channel mixer of theirs that I use a lot, every day, and have had absolutely zero problems with. And believe it or not, it doesn't sound terrible.

Certainly not the best $40 I've ever spent, but definitely in the top 500 or so...
