Just a curious question. What picks do you use?

Dunlop Tortex 1.2mm are my go to pick everytime.
I've filled a tobacco tin full of them and just velcroed it to my pedalboard

I've always used Dunlop Tortex 88 or 73, but recently picked up some of the Flex picks and I like them a lot. Smoother and much more mellow sounding that the standard tortex. Really sound great with palm muted TI jazz flats.

Need some advice....recently I have felt some tightness and slight pain in my right hand
fingers...mainly on the middle finger knuckle. I have never played with a pick and was
wondering if the TBers could give me some guidance on where I might start.....I just
want a backup plan if this gets worse. Thanks in advance for your insights. On a side
note, I just bought an arthritic glove where the fingertips are cut out and it helps some.

Lots of guys go for thick picks when playing bass, like > 1.5mm.
I just use the same picks I use on guitar, Pickboy 1.14mm Carbon Nylon. I like Jazz III XLs as well, used to play them for years.

I like the Pickboys as well, I think I use the 1.0 - the white carbon ceramic ones with the nibs for grip, excellent picks.

I usually go in the .96 to 1.12mm range too, but Bobby Vega prefers:

Dunlop Tortex Standard .73mm Yellow Guitar Pick

They are not the shiny finish, textured and better grip. I got some to try emulating his style a bit. You may want to try various thickness and finish, they're pretty cheap.

I'm not a pick player, just do it for practice and overall technique.

I don’t use a pick much these days, but I was a heavy pick player for a number of years. I really like the Jim Dunlop nylon 1mm.

This is the best I've found: D'Andrea Pro Plec 351 pick, 1.5 mm. It gives me a strong warm sound without any click noise. They last a long time, too.

I use the red dunlop tortex picks, I used to use a thick 1mm+ pick but I feel like I can play more quickly and fluidly with a thinner one. Probably depends on what kind of sound you're looking for as well.

I use the .63 version of those and LOVE them. About 8 box cutter slashes on each side and they grip perfectly
