Just a curious question. What picks do you use?

Tortex 88's... the green ones. Just the right amount of flex for my playing style and string guages.

These are my go to pick these days. However, I keep the whole Tortex rainbow and a couple of nylon Dunlop thicknesses on my pick holder. I find different materials and thickness translate to different attack and tone. So I grab what fits the song best.

I use Guitar moose sticky grips.
I might not be able to afford the best bass and the best amp but I sure can afford the best strings and picks.
Comes in 3.0 mm or 5.0mm, soft, medium or hard rubber.

I wouldn't even consider using anything else even if I got paid to endorse it.

Dunlop Gator Grip 2 mm picks, I think. They are stiff enough so that they don't bend easily, but thin enough to be easily gripped. I rarely use picks though, since I prefer a bit less attack, even for metal.

One pick I won't use again is these Rubber Wedgie guys, if they're still being made:

Wedgie Rubber Guitar Pick

I was practicing late at night for a couple of hours with one, and it did sound good, but the next morning I found that the front of my bass was covered with nasty little flecks, as though a herd of squirrels or something had sneezed all over it -- which of course, I realized, was the eroded rubber from the pick I'd been using. Sticky, too; took some work to polish it off.

I use Mick's Picks. The Vex 3. It's 1.5 mm. I've used their UKE 2's, which is composite felt and 3.8 mm, and their Spink, which is 3.0 mm. The Vex picks are new, and I'm sticking with the Vex 3. The company's been around for 10 years
