Just bought my second pipe...

That's a good idea; get that nice base coat of leather building up on your little pink lungs.
I smoked pipes when I was sixteen. I had a big old funky carved meerschaum that was my favorite. Thankfully, nobody around me had cameras in those days. The dork factor was off the charts.
Matches, by the way. Big wooden matches. Don't forget the ascot.
This is the first thing I thought of. It reminds me of when I helped out coaching speech and debate and you'd run into kids wearing things like bowler hats, smoking jackets and in one instance a cape in an effort to be hip, ironic or some combination of the two.
My guess is they'll regret the photos.
I'm only going to be smoking it at home anyway, no cameras around here

I'm going in in the next couple of days to pick out a tobacco, although i can't remember what other tobacco's they have apart form the condor so whatever I get I'll try to get a Virginia tobacco.

Make sure your tobacco is not bone dry when you smoke it. It'll burn the hell out of your tongue. Tobacco needs to have moisture for a cool burn. Stick a cut apple chunk in your tobacco over night and it'll be ready. Oh, yeah...DON'T INHALE. You don't need to to enjoy the experience. This way you only have to worry about tongue cancer.

Sorry, still it's silly, but I've been smoking a pipe since I was 22, so what do i know.
That being said, stay away from the flavored tobacco. They smell nice in the bag, but have to much bite and really leave a bad after taste.
I'm not sure how many options there are in the UK, but I would look for a burley blend. Cool smoking, tasty without being over powerful.
Again a good place to find information and to talk about pipe smoking with a group who will take you seriously with out judging..

That's strange because all i've heard before is to go for a Virginia blend, I will take a look and see what they have.

That's not very nice, I may have slightly crooked teeth (which are going to be fixed soon anyway) they are certainly not yellow!

good for you. i really enjoy my pipes. may i make a suggestion. if you have never smoked a pipe before, stay away from virginias first off. a tad on the strong side sometimes. also, if you are really serious about it, join us over at Link Removed. you will learn a ton. pretty much the talkbass of pipe smoking, only nicer
