Just Completed My 5th Audition

Hi,

Thanks for all of the ideas and support. Believe me, I use everything I've learned at my auditions.

This mornings audition was great. Cool rehearsal studio, awesome PA. The lead singer was awesome and the rest of the band was really good too.

I did my 3 songs, answered their question as they answered a few of mine.The drummer commented that he thought we sounded tight.

Will I get an offer, who knows.I don't know how many other people are involved.

I did my best, no mistakes and no mystery notes.My 2 210 RBX GK cabs rocked.

It's been my experience that drummers have a big say in who gets the nod when it comes time to audition bassists. Almost all of the gigs I auditioned for and passed were a result of the drummer saying "we gotta get that guy" to the other band members. Outside of my personal experience, the story goes that Darryl Jones got the Rolling Stones gig over a lot of other very qualified candidates because Charlie Watts liked playing with DJ the most.

You're lucky to be making so many contacts with these auditions. Even if nothing pans out, you might just get a call in a few months from someone you played with who would like to work with you in a new/different project. I've found great gigs this way.
