Just curious

So I have something that I recorded with friends from college about I dunno, 8 years ago, and I am curious what people have to say about it. IT's just a fun thing, nothing serious, but I have always wondered what other bass players would think of my playing. I have to give the obligatory statement, that unless you have great speakers, the bass may not cut through. I don't know if it is a mixing issue, or if it is just a computer speaker thing. Anyways, happy listening.

I thought your bass playing suited the songs. I could hear it fine on my computer. Not crazy busy but enough things thrown in to be interesting. I actually hear a John Paul Jones influence. Whether you have ever listened to him much I don't know but that's what I hear.

But important I actually liked the tunes. Some of the stuff that people throw up here isn't worth listening to. I listened to all the songs.

Sounds great! Good songs, and I like the fatter rounder sound of the bass more than a lot of other bands in that genre. And it cuts through just fine I think.
