Just found out we're opening for...

Nice! Use the opportunity wisely, and do one of the following:

  1. Practice? You guys must be good our you woudn't be asked to play. Forget practice this weekend, and get thuroughly drunk. Then on Monday, have a few drinks before the show to take the edge off. Or better yet, just don't show up! You guys must rule, so the fans will already love you anyway, right?
  2. Use the opportunity to push your strange, and somewhat controversial fringe political agenda!
  3. Make sure to not wear pants to show 'em all how 'big' of a man you are!
  4. Show Modest Mouse that you can pull in the groupies too by hitting on and (hopefully) stealing their girlfriends!
  5. Let the crowd know clearly and concisely how you think that your band rules, and that you'll have Modest Mouse opening up for you next tour! A great way to do this is to pass out a bunch of fliers that exclaim your musical supremacy to the band with your band clearly labeled on the fliers.

In all seriousness - good luck with the gig, and I'm sure you'll knock 'em dead (in a good way)!

My band did a show last Sunday with a national recording and television band and all the advertising listed us a co-headlining the show. Interestingly, when there was a radio interview with one of the singers from the national act, the radio D.J. did not say we were opening for them, she said they were following us. I thought that was clever and funny.

So, you can tell everybody that you are on a multiple act bill with Modest Mouse and they are following your band.

Congratulations, good luck and have fun!

Congrats, that's big-time! Knock'em dead.

Let us know how it goes, and if you get to meet Johnny Marr (and grumpy Isaac :D). I'll have to check out your Myspace when I get home.
