Congrats that is a fantastic score ! These are great basses, I love the pickups. I bought one when they first came out and it floored me, sadly I sold it in the mid 80's. I just bought a black and maple one and I could not be more pleased, plays and sounds amazing.
I picked one up 2 years ago from Craigslist for $100. Best deal of my bass career.

Its play a great,but I needs a set up.I guess the last time it was played was 2 years ago and it sat in the case abunch of years before that.
Welcome to the T40 club! I love my T40.. Only bad thing is it weighs about 15lbs. Get a nice comfortable strap and it is no problem.

The qualitly,sound,and how it sounds is outstanding.Deffintaly the best value I ever spent on a bass.USA peavey stuff is great I had an Old patriot bass that I would love to get another one of.That red t40 is awesome I never seen one in that color before.

A couple months ago, a T40 popped on CL locally for $75 bucks! I couldn't call-up the seller fast enough...it sold within minutes of him posting it.

Most folks upload their pics to a photobucket account or similar. Once you do that, cut and past the image url (address) to your post and put the image commands around it.
