Tried the diming the master and using the gain to adjust level last night at band practice, wow what a difference! I used to adjust both at roughly the same to adjust volume but it sounds so much better to my ears with the master dimed. The depth of my effects shine through much more it seems like.

Love this rig. Took me a long time to buy an all tube amp and now I regret waiting so long. It sounds amazing. Huge, thick, growly and fills the room with bass warmth!

I have a 610 HLF cab. Got it brand new for a f*ckin DEAL! I also just got the V4B head. It's an awesome head and I love it but that was before I played the 300w SVT CL head. I had an audition recently and the studio had its own amps so I didn't have to bring mine. When I got there I was relieved to see it was an ampeg unit. 810 cab with an SVT CL head. All I can say is I was impressed! I fell in love. Considering the band and just being loud im probably gunna return the V4B and go with the SVT.

While it's no secret I'm not a fan of Fender Js, you have a fantastic monster of a setup. Simply classic and devastating when cranked. Bet you're in tone heaven.
