Better than USA peavey?

So far, I can't say mine is better. I would say "as good, but different". And, of course, I'm still in my honeymoon phase with the Sadowsky. New basses almost always seem like the best thing ever when I first get them. I haven't even played one of my Peaveys since I got the Sadowsky.

Ask me again in a month or so. By then, maybe I'll have my B Quad 5 back from getting the MNAirhead Super Special Setup and the new will have worn off the Sadowsky a little bit and I'll be able to give a more objective comparison between those two and my Mill and my Cirrus 6.

Congrats! The Sadowsky's are exceptional instruments indeed. Did you demo a Metro before the NYC, or did you just have the NYC in mind?

I just saw the used NYC and always wondered if they were worth all that money. They are.......but a new one would be out of my price range. The used one was affordable.

I don't slap, but am wondering what makes for a good slap bass? Is it the low action? A small fretboard radius? What is it that makes one bass better than another for slap? Curious.

In this case its the tone. Some basses don't cut through or sound brittle. Low action is preference I prefer more of a med-low action, if its too low it doesn't feel right under my thumb.
