Man , I can emphathize. I always say most Yellow Jacket stings aren't much more than a pinprick, but I gotta tell ya, one got me between my temple and eye socket, and it was a killer. Ached like a toothache and I had to use several doses of eye drops the next day to get the sandy feeling out of my eye. I think that facial / head area is just really sensitive. No fun.
I got nailed literally between the eyes by a Red Wasp one time and it felt like a hammers blow.

yup, I was ready with the obligatory "no pics, no nailed" post, and ended up with the "vinegar is your friend." one.
Funny though, it could pertain to both equally well.

All better now. Luckily I am not allergic to stings. Funny thing though, late last night my ear still felt really plugged up and was still hurting pretty good. My wife took a good look and the bee's head was still in my ear. I probably pushed it in a ways when I squashed it to get it out. She retrieved the damn thing and I swabbed the inside with hydrogen peroxide.

Now, lets not repeat this episode, boy.

I'll be honest, I did too. However, I know MEKer personally and I do have a bee stinging story so I wasn't as disappointed as others.
