Just Ordered a Custom Filter!

Hot Damn, just got an email and it is in the mail!!!!
I just might kiss the delivery guy when he gets here.
Also, Mario reworked the circut so it can be overdriven with the input and give a it a little crunch or back off and be clean,this style of MS-20 Filter Clone is gonna become a stock item at Robot Factory, so I will do a full review. This is it boys the last piece of my synth puzzle. (Yeah Right! )

I am gonna focus on an amp and cabs for a while though....

Did Mario mention anything about ideal voltages for attaining a full sweep with the filter+mp201?

He shipped mine back yesterday so I should be receiving my Photron back next week. One of the changes made was making the Freq input a CV input so it would work with my MP201, and he said that 2v (toe down) would be a good starting point to try. You're located closer to him so you should probably receive yours first-- looking forward to your review!

The Photron also has Input and Output gain- the filter can be overdriven (though it sounds like your new filter may have more input gain available), and if you keep the input gain low you get more of a whispy/whoosh (filter noise?) on the up and down of the sweep- lots of options with the filter and different types of tones available from it (the 'whoosh' is similar to that of the Prometheus in some settings) compared to my other filters.

If the Photron works out for me when I get it back, Im thinking about selling it and having a stripped down version made in a smaller enclosure (I dont need the built in LFO), or maybe something similar to the Hydra with two filters in parallel.

Yeah, the Hydra was my first choice, but he said that was like $600-$700 to get one built, that is way over my budget.

I am mostly interested in Moog type comb filtering so I hope it does that well. I love the Moog, but I really wanted a HP/BP also. I am not sure about the voltage thing, I'll email and ask him.

It's Here!!
It can do some pretty cool stuff.
It will take a bit of work to see what it can really do, but I will get a full review up this week.

My board is also done!
