The clean one has a bass and mid boost of about 2-3 db on the EQ. The EQ on that pedal really shines, I feel.

I agree, the EQ is very transparent as long as you don't use the color button. It sounds like you don't on the clean channel I presume.

See you have a Traynor YB-1 Head for recording.

I have a 50 watt version of this.

These a very underrated recording heads.
I love there tone.

Can you remember any songs you have used this head while recording?

I love the Traynor BassMaster heads, yes. I've used it a bit, not sure what records, too hard to remember.

Do you engage the Color button when using the MXR M80 or do you find the mid scoop a bit overpowering?

I don't use...too much scoop, and brightens it up in a way I don't like.

Not too often any more, I have too much stuff. Pedals are more often than basses, basses more often than amps.

How do you like the Line 6 Bass Pod XT Pro? Have you tested it live?

You see I do not have the drivers license and cant take with me big pedalboards and stuff, so its kinda problematic to take with me a cab, head and pedalboard, so I wonder i the Bass Pod XT Pro is something you will say its ok live, it doesent have to be great! just ok

I was offered to buy a YBA 2B from a guy that sold me an all original 71' Fender P for a grand. Any idea what it's worth?

I also just purchased an Avalon U5 for the eq to run through my svt classic, aguilar agro and 2 8x10s. Any thoughts on the U5?

So what's that Octave Cat? Is that a synth? I've been looking to pick up something like this. Are they cheap, or am I looking at some crazy piece of art? How does it sound? When do you use it? Do you bust it out live?

No idea about the YBA 2B, I don't know enough about Traynor amps.

Avalon U5 is good. Too clear on the top for my taste, but I'll use them if they are at a studio, it's fine.

I should bust out a wah, they're fun.

Octave Cat is a '70s mono synth. Sounds amazing. Use it in my studio. Not cheap.

I use the Depth Charge, Sans GT2, Dwarfcraft Great Destroyer, Wooly Mammoth, Shin Ei, Superfuzz, B:assmaster, and a bunch of others.

I was listening to dirty life from IR and was wondering myself if i should open a thread about the tone but i doubt there is any better thread than this to ask for it.

Any tips on getting a tone like that??? i think i can hear a hint of an octaver (lower octave) and something else i cant identify

Octaver in verses, choruses are raw. Intro also adds delay and octaver. Bass is Wal Pro IIe through B15R, Demeter DI and Marshall Plexi JTM-45, Fender Tonemaster 2 x 12 cab with Vintage 30's.
