If memory serves, they fired their singer Limahl not long after Too Shy came out. Otherwise they might've been a pretty big 80's band.

I got to meet Nick Beggs in the mid 90's and he is one great guy and bassplayer. His basslines really fit he songs and as other TBers have stated, he is one great singer. His Stick abilities are worth mentioning too

I saw Nick Beggs playing with John Paul Jones when he toured for " Thunder Thief" about 8 years ago. Nick played mostly Chapman stick and sang backup. It was an absolutely brilliant show.

Yeah, that was a great tour.


I read an interview with Beggs a couple years ago, in which he discussed how Kajagoogoo got sandbagged into some sort of 'reunite the band' reality TV show. He said something about realizing with a shock that he hadn't played slap bass in ages, didn't even own a bass suitable for it, and now had to dredge up songs from twenty-odd years ago and play them again on three days' notice.....
