Tony's....what? I will mark it on my calendar, on the off chance I can escape the house.

According to the restaurant... bands there usually start at 8pm, and you could just grab a seat at the bar...table reservation isn't necessary (unless you want to come for dinner). But it was suggested we get there early to get a seat at the bar, as it fills up.

I'm sure Tim can tell you more.

I have a kart race that day. After 8 hours out in the weather and pushing racing karts around, I will be no condition to drive to Cinci and enjoy music. Break a string!

A bit off-topic for the thread, but we are all virtual friends here.

I am a safety official and I work out in Turn 1 and 2. Primarily, I signal the yellow flag when there is an accident. Secondarily, I call in penalties when the drivers get a little too competitive, and generally help out where ever needed. I got their network converted over to wireless this year, which helped the ladies during registration big time.

I get reimbursed for my time, which amounts to pop and pizza money, and the occasional new music instrument.

Gigged my new Ubass last night...gotta get a preamp of some sort, but it was well-received for the handful of numbers that I used it on, most notably, "Fish and Poi."

This is the only action shot, thus far, pending more from other sources. It was a big wine-tasting, and the venue has not published pix on their FB page, yet. There was some CAS talent present, too.

70 MPH, sitting 1 inch off the ground...through a turn. No seat belts.

Niiice!

My cousin's a stock car racer (his hobby - races Modified Class, and a pit crew chief, etc. for hire by day). Last year bought his two sons carts like yours to get them into racing young. And they are still sitting in the garage because the boys are too lazy to work on them (their heads are stuck in video games). :rollno:

I would have killed for a cart like that when I was a kid (I rebuilt vintage motocross bikes with my dad).

Sorry for the tangent... Chad started it! :hiding:

Where in Ohio are you?

If you want to keep it inexpensive, the Behringer ADI21 shines. The mids control is sweepable, giving the ability to target the string cluck and get a nice sound at a low price.

If you want expensive, the Fishman Pro-EQ Platinum is simply fantastic. It is so good, in my opinion, that is has become the main preamp pedal of my combined acoustic/electric board. More options than the ADI21, and can even run off phantom power.

There are other more expensive options, but I haven't tried them, yet, and probably won't. I am very happy with the Pro-EQ. I have kept the ADI21 as a backup.
