She's also one of the most sexy celebrity women alive right now. I mean that just beyond her physical beauty. She has a charisma that I find entrancing, and she has a hidden sense of humor in a lot of her stuff.

The fact that she's married to that completely insane weirdo, and apparently they rode out on elephants for their wedding ... tells you there's something different about her, and she probably doesn't take herself too seriously.

In a day and age when people can download your music free in a matter of minutes ... you have to bring more to the table than just music, and like Michael Jackson, she is an entertainer who possesses an indescribable "it" factor. It's just something about her presence that very few people possess. You can call it stage presence ... charisma ... owning a room ... whatever. The fact that she's smoking hot only adds to the mystique.

Lady Gaga and Madonna had to pull every campy outfit in the book and pull every outrageous stunt they could think of ... just to get the kind of attention KP gets with a subtle glance or movement, and just being a fun chick. The haters can suck it. She's a star.

Cool. I've never liked Michael Jackson that much (I just didn't have much access to Western music when he was supposed to be at his best), but Katy Perry's songs are consistently great. I'm not too surprised that she'd be the one to tie this kind of record rather than Beyonce or Shakira or Lady Gaga who are all great but not quite as consistently so.

How many #1 hits did Def Leppard have off of the Hysteria album? I think they released eight of the twelve tracks.

Only one #1 Hit, "Love Bites". "Pour Some Sugar On Me" topped out at #2, "Armageddon It" #3, and "Hysteria" at #10. Not bad at all for a rock group.

I have an outdoor gig this Friday night with several singers I've never performed with before. There are four KP songs on the setlist along with four Gaga songs. Nothing strenuous basswise from checking them out on Youtube... I'd only heard half of them prior to this gig. Already knew most of the LG stuff. It works great live with the right crowd IME.

as far as Pop goes, I have respect for people who can pull it off succesfully... it only seems easy until you try writing a hit yourself. And yeah, I wouldn't mind being in that touring band if the money were really right.
