I don't think there is a complete method of this 'decoder' thing you ask about. As more models were added thru the years, some model names were changed as did the serial numbers. All one has to do is tell me the serial # and I will ID the Bass. 6GN means BSR6GN. 6EG means BSR6EG. 6G on older models means BT6G but on newer models it is spelled out, BT6G as the BSR is the dominant shape now. Sorry for the confusion but it's too late to back and re-name or number the Basses.

I wonder the same thing. Actually I want to keep them. I have listed them at a buy it now price that I can live with parting with them, but if I don't have any takers, I will probably take them off the site before the auction ends.

Bottom line, they may not sell or I may choose not to sell them below the buy it now price. This are the decsions that get made when they offer $0.20 listing days. I like to put out feelers to see the interest level.

1997 wide neck elite Cocobolo 6. Was fine playing it around the house but just had a rehearsal where I only played it 30min and my hand hurts like all **** Will my muscles get used to it or should I just give up?
