Hello again TB LC family.
Remember me? I used to build basses. :meh:

Been at the Custom Shop 14 months now.
Me, Rob, Jason, and Harry have built one hundred sixty guitars... in that time.
And... 2 (two)...basses.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great gig. And we're making some amazing guitars.
I'm actually starting to "sniff the cork" so to speak. I never was a big BCR fan. But now that I've actually played a few "golden era" basses... I get the hype.

So... Kev needs to build himself a bass to regain some sanity.
I fell in love with an 82 Eagle we had in for a referb.
Hey, I'll build myself a BCR Eagle! I sure as heck can't afford one.
Yeah well... as a CS guy, I "can" build myself anything with an "R" on the headplate. ( special employee serial #)
But if it sees the light of interwebz?
Or if I sold it? I would owe a significant monetary royalty to BCR.
Well guess what. NMG needs a comfortable (not pointy) bass offering and Imma gonna whip one up.
You might notice some slight resemblance to a Eagle?... I assure y'all ...that was completely intentional. It's a blatant spin and I'm not sorry. I fixed stuff & made it sexy.
Best part? Neal likes it... agrees its different enough & has adopted it.
It will be constructed in the golden era style & sport a Moser 'M' on the headplate. :smug:
Maybe when it's seen it generates some interest/orders, that would be cool.
Here tis...

Figured I'd share... thanks for looking.
It's under weigh... more soon.

Kev that's awesome. I would make sure you have at least seen the Shechter Riot Models. It's also basically am Eagle derivative. I doubt anyone will care at all, but I would hate to have you see a Riot and be disgruntled. Your variant is much cooler in any case. I saw that Eagle 6string on the Moser Instagram or somewhere. It is really something.

Hey @Freekmagnet, how's it going in the Secret Laboratory? Every time the words "cutom neck" or "trussrod replacement" come up, I sic them on you and Bruce. Let me know if I should shut up and let you build something else.
By all means, keep 'em coming! Thanks a million my friend!

I've been slowly working on a few bass building projects, but nothing super urgent. The paying work has been a little slow coming in, so I haven't been spending as much time at the shop. I've been focusing my creative time towards my recording project with my niece, learning to program MIDI keyboards, playing drums here and there, and actually using all these super cool basses I've built in our super cool recordings.

I do have that "improved" Kay I've been working on. I ran into a small difficulty installing the electronics. The solution(s) are simple, but I'm stalling while I decide which avenue to take.
