If there's a dealer near your home...or within reasonable test drive distance...why not try it? Or take your bass to the dealer's lot.

I used to be able to get an upright in a VW Beetle - with the neck sticking out the passenger front window.

I test drove one, didn't strike me as a gear hauler. But others have posted that it fits their gear just fine. I say test drive one and give it and the salesman a good workout ... make him put the back seats down and the works. Take gear measurements before you go test drive.
