King Kong.

I love that kind of humor.

But the fact remains... Will Ferrel and Jack Black are NOT funny.

Will Ferrel is hilarious on SNL and in Old School... but outside of that he is just obnoxious. All he does is scream.

Jack Black... I dunno. I just never liked him.

Agreed on Will, the small 5 minute skits on SNL were tolerable, and occassionally approached "funny", but entire movies with him as a main character...pass...he becomes annoying after about 4-5 minutes.

Jack Black on the other hand, rules. Definitely more punk than Money, which is so obviously why Mikey don't like him, he's gettin' PUNKED by him.....

...however, if I ever get Jack in a room alone, I'm gonna whup his arse for the dis he gave every bassist in "School Of Rock".

I've been a big Peter Jackson fan since Dead Alive came out some years ago. He did some great over-the-top horror movies that were hilarious, and very well done (for what they were). I always knew that he was destined to do something bigger and better, but I never expected this.
(...)

really you got that from that movie?

then Roger Corman musta been a sorry disappointment. ;)

Jack Black did a find job in this one. I was expecting him to be a little too "comedic" for the role, but he actually did a great job. They did squeeze a little comedy in there too, but mostly it's a drama/action movie and he acted accordingly.

...so he doesn't destroy kong with a face-melting guitar solo?

wilby, you didn't stay until the denouement, wherein Kong and Watts have a tender love scene and come to bring society to a better acceptance of beastiality.

Uhhh.......didn't anyone else see this?
If Kong and Naomi did the whole beastiality thing...she'd ....uh.....um..........get turned inside out by that enormous monkey!
Now wouldn't that make the climax of the movie!

Just think of all the movie's that Kong would be invited to do after that scene!
Kong does Dallas
Kong goes DeepThroat
.....the list goes on.

Seen it last night. Pretty good movie. It kind of felt like lord of the rings alot. Everything look the same as lord of the rings.

Watts was amazing. I loved her in The Ring. Loved her in King Kong. Jack I just think he is amazing as well. The other dude was cool. He has to be because he has an Oscar. The Green Day kid, I believed him in this role. I no longer hate him.

The story line was awsome. Lots of somewhat interesting sub plots.

This is why I couldn't get into the movie. Stupid, stupid loud 12 and 13 year old kids acting like stupid children. I really wanted to beat them all. Just so I could watch the movie in peace. I couldn't blame them because I myslef acted like that, when me and my friends. Saw boaring movies, but this wasn't a boaring movie. This was a epic trillion dollor blockbusters. Then The stupid movie started to skip and blur. I didn't get mad. Well Because I bought a Great Big Sea Cd and you just can't get really mad at floppy technology. When you have Great Big Sea in your hands. After the movie they handed about 2 free movie passes, TO EVERYONE!!. That was just super awsome coolness:D

Saw it last night! I enjoyed it very much. I thought every actor did a superb job.

I had a few niggles about the movie, but most of them had already been mentioned, so there's no need to rehash them. Still, however, it was an excellent, excellent movie.

I also had a problem with some guy making stupid comments sitting behind me. If there's always "that guy" in a movie that's talking or being annoying, I usually have to be "that other guy" who asks him to be quiet. Usually it doesn't work, and things have gotten ugly once or twice, but last night it did work. I asked him to be quiet, and he did. I was quite surprised. :eyebrow:

Man you're lucky. I had a whole group of "those guys". In the row in front of me, about 20 feet to the left. There was about 7 kids around the age of 16-17. And another group in the row in front of them. I don't know if they were all together, but they were all annoying. Every time ANYTHING happened, they all started screaming and hooting, just for the sake of pissing everyone off.
I contemplated throwing my soda at them, but I decided I was too thirsty (and whenever I pay $5 for a soda, I'm gonna damn-well drink it). And they quieted down anyway, after a while it stopped being funny, even to them.
