King of Distortion!

Hi, i've been using a boss mega distortion and a distortion on my multi effects boss pedal, both of which are good but i'm now wanting a huge destructive sound, kinda doomy, that sort of thing and i think i'm going to need a new pedal.

Could anyone reccommend any beastly pedals for me to possibly invest in?

Thanks

He meant DHA. I think the HP one is discontinued, there's a VT1, a VT1 Mk3, or various dual tube VT2 ones. If you want heavy distortion, go for a VT2 or VT1 Mk3, the standard VT1 is more of a light overdrive. My VT2's being built right now, I'll post some clips up eventually!

But there's much more out there, if you want nasty hard distortion you may find something else gets the sound you want for a lot less cash, such as a Big Muff. It all depends on what sound you're looking for and how good you are at putting that sound into words - people use all kinds of terms to describe distortion pedals. You might want one with that's warm, woolly and fuzzy with a crunchy biting snarling grind combined with a tight focused low end and plenty of hair without too much fizz! Search on here, and check out the sound clips in the Wiki.

I need something absolutley destructive! a real growl, pretty crisp and crunchy and quite sharp, my other distortions have more fuzz and hair. another thing is that i keep finding that when using distortion the clean sound of the bass is also coming through and the fuzz is more background? any ideas?!!

please excuse my ignorance but i have no idea what an e13 is? sorry! and i've heard of deviever but thats about it!
I've had a look at the landmine, looks good. all the reviews say very heavy and crunchy! anyone got any experince of using one?

oh jeez! all these i have never heard of and look and seem awsome! my pedal world consisted of boss! thats it. erm, from what i've read has the Truly Beautiful Disaster got a loop built in too? i'm very confused on which to invest that or the landmine? for slow soundscape type music with occasional noise interludes which would be your choice?!

Sorry, i'm very bad at making decisions!

wooh! too many choices here! ha, it's like kid in a candy store! i'm at work at the moment so can't listen to the sound clips which will help loads! thanks for all these reccommendations though! much apreciated. keep em coming though if you think they fit what i'm after.

cheers!
