I have not checked in a while, if Bob has released anything newer than this, but if you missed this album, this live recording is tighter than- - -well, just take a listen...

If you listen carefully, it sounds like they are playing over eerie synth, horn & string samples, or they were added after. Maybe somebody knows how it is executed.

The "eerie" strings starting at 2:31 sound a lot like what Parliament used regularly in the mid-to-late '70s. As I understand it, they used an ARP Solina String Ensemble keyboard, but that sound can be simulated in other ways.

Sounds great. Manu Katche (Sting’s drummer) has a lot of solo work that has a very similar sound.
