Only on TalkBass can we burn bridges over bridges.
Regardless, Klos basses are intriguing. A bass with a carbon-fiber neck under $2K is something I haven't seen in, like, ever! Even back in the 90s when I'd see Zon and Modulus basses in Bass Player magazine, they were $2500+ back then.

I can vouch for the Apollo Standard. I really enjoyed mine. The only reason I let it go is when I knew a 5 string version was in development. I badly want the 5 but the jump in price is quite substantial. If you’re considering the 4 string, go for it. You won’t regret it. See my earlier reply to this post re: the sublime neck and pickups.
Yeah, you're right. The jump in price to a 5er is quite the leap.
There was a time I would have been all over an Apollo 4 (24-fret composite neck, passive electronics, two humbuckers). Only things I'd want are straplocks and a Hipshot Xtender. But nowadays, I'm leaning more toward traditional 20-fret basses. But if the opportunity arose for me to try one of those Klos Apollos, heck yeah I would!
