Thanks. I've had my eyes on the Osborne lately. Thinking about picking one up for myself and either another for my sis... or maybe a mini-Grip for her. She has a field job and could probably use a good blade.
I currently have one of the Heckler & Koch Benchmade knives, which despite the reduced cost, is quite nice.

Lol ! Usually takes me a few minute's to open one up .Nice Bali's. You better watch out man, those are..."Weapons!"
They're somewhat therapeutic for me , they actually help out with my carpel tunnel.
Oh btw. a knife is a tool not a weapon ...

I had one balisong in my life and that was back in the 80's. I didn't practice much and so I was lousy with it, but I have always admired nice ones when when I see them. Yours are nice.
This group of case knives all date 1970's and older. I use to buy my father a new knife for his birthday every year.

I thought I was in overkill with about 10 or 12 stones. I have bench size, and backpacking size for my knives, axes, hook knives, and chisels. RE: therapeutic value- Yup, sometimes I just line up about 6 knives and sharpen them all. Kinda Zen.
Buyer beware- The market is flooded with counterfeit Osbornes. They come in a Benchmade box, with fake papers and the works.

There's no shortage of counterfeit Spyderco's out there, too. You Tube has a couple of videos that explain how to spot a real one vs the knock-off. Oddly enough, some of the knock-offs are actually pretty well-made knives, but of course, they're not the real thing. Even some of the big name brands sold on Amazon turn out to be fakes. Do your research on the vendors before ordering online.
My new favorites for walking in the woods. These are ESEE-3 and ESEE-4 knives, with an important upgrade!
The steel is CPM S35VN, a huge step up from so many of the "bushcraft" knives. It costs a little more than the 1095 alternatives, but it is well worth it for the additional corrosion resistance and edge-holding capabilities. The handles are ESEE's "3D machined G10" and they are super comfortable for my hand, with a very secure gripping surface and a palm swell.

I have quite a collection myself. My EDC involves a combination of Case folders usually two. I have three trappers, two large stockmans, one Seahorse whittler, one Russlock, and one single blade Barlow.
I also carry my Buck Vantage Pro. I carry an ESEE Izula as a neck knife. And a Leatherman Wave on my belt.
I keep a few knives in my Get Home Bag. An ESEE 5, a DPX gear HEST, a Buck Matt Would Go, and an Ontario SP-8.
I have several knives that I rarely carry, older Case folders, antique Shrade Old Timers, and others that have just made their way into my knife drawer.
I am always on the lookout for more. On my wishlist , are several Benchmades, Zero Tolerance, and several others. I’ll be watching this thread, and will post any additions I make acquire.

Gave away my Crooked River to a friend, so I had a "need" for a new knife. Never had issues with Amazon, but I get the feeling that the knife has been sitting around for a very long time, so to Benchmade it goes, which kinda sucks for the price. Other than that, big fan.

Good call. Waiting to see if they will swap me a cool matching blue thumb screw. Might as well snag a deep carry. Would prefer it to not say "Benchmade" on it; just metal works.
Always been a function over form guy, but I'm gonna make this one pretty! Also, now I'm eyeing a used Benchmade 810, as I seem to like the Osborne tributes, and that comes in M4... Never bought a used knife though.
Dam near perfect pocket knife . I gave one to my dad for Christmas a few years back

Honestly I think that could technically void the warranty, as stupid as that is (at least that's how it's worded). Also a blue thumb screw is an option on other knives, and I'm guessing they're uniform. If they have boxes of them maybe I can score a free one in the exact right color.
Could always just switch things back to normal whenever it needs to be sent in. Will probably do that if Benchmade decides to be lame. Thanks for the link!
I had a really nice Ken Onion taken off me while on my honeymoon in the South Pacific. I was watching my luggage go through the x-ray machine with the security, and it was clearly visible. I screwed up and put it in carry on, not checked. He made me dig it out, open it slowly, and when I very carefully handed it to him handle first, he asked why it was there. I looked up to answer and several shockingly large, stern-looking Pacific Islanders had suddenly appeared and were staring me down. "Honest mistake", I said (truth), and I smiled and said, "I guess someone that's not me gets a nice knife today." They laughed and nodded.
Sigh.
I'm insanely jealous of all the high end knives here.
Laugh if you want, and I know it has countless critics, but this inexpensive Swedish Mora punches so far above its weight, it confounds me. It's helped me start a fire in a torrential downpour in a dire backpacking situation, hacked through countless little things in the brush and the backyard, and done a bazillion things around the house. Great handle that fits my thin hand perfectly. Shaving sharp. Probably to brittle to be a pry beater, but I have other things for that.
It was still in my trunk with a bunch of hiking gear... I carried it this past weekend on this trip.
And now, for something completely different. I have a block full of these kitchen knives, but pretty much always go to these two first, particularly the chef's knife. Yes, they're dirty with tonight's chicken and foccacia bread.
Globals are fan-frickin'-tastic. Samurai swords for the kitchen.
