Civivi had a big hit with the Elementum. Parent WE Knives even jumped on the bandwagon with upgraded materials for a few WE more versions.

Civivi has been on my wantlist for a while now. I have clones of the Baklash and the Brigand, and the Anthropos is on my Amazon wish list.

This is my first Civivi and I must say the quality is pretty decent for the price point.

Civivi is offering some very practical designs, and they are executing them very well. This Lumi has a very slick, crisp action that doesn't require much pressure considering how small the flipping surface is. It is almost invisible! 2.6" 14C28N hollow ground blade, G-10 handles, about $50 US. I like this knife so much that I upgraded the pocket clip. I confess, I am sometimes a slave to fashion!

I carry a pocket knife and use it daily for the same reasons already mentioned - opening boxes & packages, cutting and trimming of things where scissors won’t do, as well as other reasons. There’s also an aesthetic appeal to me from an industrial art perspective. Function + form.

Here’s my Benchmade Mangus, a Marlowe design, now discontinued. This has pure aesthetic appeal to me. I will never carry this knife though.

Looks comfortable for big hands!
I think I'd have trouble manipulating it though, with the angled uneven handle sections. Pretty.

The blade on this cheapo (for an OTF,) looks very well ground! If the handle isn’t steel and weighs 8oz, it might be worth buying.

This Walther BWK 1 was on offer in a motorbike accessories webstore.
So I checked it out. The locking mechanism is good.
It opens easily, closing takes a bit of getting used to.
The handle feels good, not as good as an Opinel though
It hardly passed the tomato cut test, so it will get some sharpening.

I really like that titanium Original XL, but I have a micarta one and the detent is so loose, it opened in my pocket and cut me. I suspect the titanium version might be better.
