Just finished making a letter opener, I forget to add the brass spacer in the front between the wood and the stacked leather during glue up. Ooops...
It still turned out OK, made from an old Nicholson file, and scarps just laying around the shop. It was ground asymmetrically so the sharp edges lay flat on a desk.

I bought a woodsman's knife from Fadir Tools in Ukraine. It looks like this:

I don't know what I'm going to do with it, and my wife is a little frightened by it. But is sure is beautiful. The leather sheath is incredibly well made, too. Plus, for grins, I tried shaving a patch of leg hair. It had no problem with that. Someday I'll find a use for it. For now, I'm pretty happy to have it.
 
I went nuts with knives, watches, and … electric basses. More than I’ll ever need. Maybe therapy is a need. :laugh:
