I replaced everything except for steak knives. Being a Benchmade fan boy I was entertaining paying 250+ for carbon fiber. This is the current vibe, so CF would work:

Anyone know a maybe cheaper steak knife that works wirh dark kinda CF vibe? If I need a dozen 250/per gets kinda crazy.

Stumbled on this cool little pocket razor knife designed/ fabricated by Maxmadco & sold by Countycom. I have a history w/ Maxmadco having purchased stainless steel [top] & Ti [bottom] bolt action pens that are sadly no longer produced. Big fan of his minimalist design.

The knife is made from a block of solid Ti. This is from the website: The main frame is wire EDM ( Electrically Discharged Machining ) cut from a solid block of grade 5 titanium. The blade free floats in place with a secure twist lock mechanism at any location on the slider.

The package includes 2 boxes of extra razors.

I like those... I have a solid stainless mechanical pencil as my main writing tool with similar aesthetics, mine is by Modern Fuel.

Decided to treat myself to a new pocket carry. I love the Buck 110 but don't wear a sheath, so I got this slim Buck 110, S30V. It sits in the pocket nicely and I barely notice it.

I picked up a limited edition Buck 111 with ebony scales and a nice suede leather sheath. I love the 111 more than the 110 for the curved bolsters. This one is the new Magnacut steel. I have no idea if it's a gimmick or not though. I have GOT to stop buying safe queens....what the hell am I gonna do with them anyway? I'm serious.

We purchased our first Japanese knife today. We took a drive to meet a man who sharpens knives by hand using Japanese whetstones. He did such amazing work sharpening our Kramer that we decided to bring this one home with us....

Gorgeous. I love the blade. What is the deal.with those dimples? Never seen that and absolutely want something with whatever that is called. Can't tell if it's visual or a physical divot. Rad knife man congrats!

The dimples come from the style in which it is finished, Tsuchime. It is a Japanese hammering technique that will allow the knife to slide more smoothly through what it is cutting while also helping ensure whatever it is doesn't stick to the knife all the while adding what some consider a neat look to the knife. The look isn't for everyone, but some folks dig it, like you and I for example.

Never heard of that style and definitely want something in that vein, so a million thanks. That is so exactly visually what I want that it could cut like a rusty nail and still be a great buy. Especially the blacked out blade. Guessing it cuts pretty well though! That is seriously the coolest chef's knife I've ever seen.

I have a Canadian chef's knife with dimples. Professional Series 8" Chef's Knife with Dimples (MTH-80)
I bought it for my wife a couple of years ago. Don't remember paying that much for it though.

Not exactly a knife, but found this neat OTF bottle opener Xmas shopping. I think my brother and dad will enjoy them. Super fun to play with. I get it now. Wish CA would change their stance on automatics.

I have quite a collection of Cold Steel knives, and I don't know much of anything about the steel used, but they've stayed scary sharp as long as I've had them. Haven't had to use them much, but I grabbed one of the Moro Barongs when I couldn't find my yard clearing machete, and it did a great job, short work of even 1" - 2" thick live branches, and stayed perfectly sharp after.

l'll just say this - hella choppers - you chop something with a Cold Steel Moro Barong, it stays CHOPPED! Whether it be a tree or an intruder's forearm... it's coming OFF! hehe

Very late reply, but yes, that's a helluva good yard clearer. I have one too and love it.

You can legally own them ,anyone who sells them can and will ship them to ca . Otf are great tools..
You are less likely to cut yourself with an OTF knife, comparing using it in working conditions to any other knife actions . I have never cut my self with an otf.
I Can't say that with any other type knife .
