Got this gigantic Bowie knife years ago and basically just bought it because of the colors on the wood handle and it's my favorite knife in my small collection at home.
Unfortunately, I do not. I have used my 3.5 folders and Hand Spears a bunch; own a couple Beasts and bought a Carver on sale when it first came out but haven't had an excuse to use them! The collection doesn't include the Chef or Steak Knives, yet?...
My kitchen knife set & butchering blades are almost exclusively Victorinox - nothing fancy but they have all served me well.

Almost all of my Hofners were purchased during a BOGO or on some type of sale price (same with my "Maxpedition" gear).
A while ago I got an Opinel No. 12 Slim Line. Because it's got a stainless steel blade.
The N°12 Carbon is more practical, but takes more maintenance. It's sharper though.
I used to work for this guy who was an active hunter (every weekend) and loved the Opinel knives. He would swap the wooden handle for one made of deer antler. Looked great.

I recently got a whetstone. Fun little hobby sharpening kitchen knives.
The Opinel knives are very practical. I knew fishermen that had them as their daily tool.
One day when I walked a friend's dog at the South-Cork coast, the dog brought me a pheasant that it caught in the blackberry bushes.
The N°12 Carbon proved to be quite handy for cleaning the internals of the pheasant after plucking it.
Per the classified rules, no.

This 705 was my first Axis model, but eventually I had/have lots of them.
About a year apart I showed a selection of Benchmades to my brother and sister. Without even knowing which one my brother had chosen, my sister immediately went for the 710 as well.

Hey, after years of indecision, I've finally got one on the way to me now.
Probably won't stay as nice looking as yours but I'm really looking forward to it getting here.
Been a Benchmade fan boy for years but quality control struck bad. I opened it up. Felt amazing in my hand. Opened it up and the PVD coating on the blade has swirls and it changes from dark to light as it goes to the tip. The clip had scratches in the PVD with one down to the base metal. It would've been perfect but I returned it and don't trust Benchmade's coating so not getting a replacement.
Here's a pic (looks like a shadow but it's a color change). Also if you zoom in the streaks at the tip in the coating are pretty hideous too. First time BM QC bit me.
Oh and there was a 3-4mm burr in the edge of the blade from imprecise sharpening. Definitely not what I'm looking for in a higher end BM. Sad trombone.
Put a little case on the wall in the closet so it’s easier to pick one out for the day. A few of these see regular carry - Kershaw Livewire and Iridium, the Spydercos, and occasionally the CRKT CEO Flipper if I want something very discreet.
I never cared for the 940 but after getting used to seeing them, I'm really stoked to finally have one.
Love mine. Someone earlier in the thread (sorry whoever you are!) Mentioned not using the thumb studs and just pulling the Axis bar to open/close. That makes it so much more fun. Just sharing because that little detail takes it from a great knife to a great knife and fidget spinner.
