There, I fixed it.If any lawyers out there are reading this, it would really be great to get your point of view and perspective here bassed on the charges!
Sorry, someone had to do it.

I think we are all looking at these allegations as being allegations until we learn otherwise.
This is certainly true. That said, the prosecutor thinks there's enough evidence to charge Manuel with some pretty serious stuff, which is itself a data point. He's bailed out with a court appearance this Friday, btw.Yes, that’s how the system is supposed to work. Everything else, at this point, is basically speculation and should be taken as such.
This is an important point. Yes, while everyone in the US at least are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, there is enough smoke there that the DA's office is willing to move forward with some charges, as mentioned some pretty serious. The widespread speculation is beginning to take form. This is certainly true. Interesting that Manny has no attorney of record in the Manhattan back-rent case.
Though it is Ch 11 and not 7....Totally unsurprising: Kolstein (the shop) files for bankruptcy.

Florida has a homestead exemption which means that Manny’s primary residence (in Florida) cannot be touched in bankruptcy.Oh, here's the filing with a list of creditors. Does anyone know if filing in Florida is significantly different from NY? Did he move to FL for this?

I don’t think so. This seems bound for criminal court in a matter of time.Does Kolsteins have any chance of survival restructured with Manny at the helm?, can it regain customer confidence if Barrie gets full control and looks to sell it to a legit buyer?.
I'm curious to what the dynamic is in the shop, does Barrie step foot into the store anymore?, he is still local to the shop, but his things were removed by Manny and his dad.
Does Manny run day to day from Florida?.
There's still the missing inventory also.
Oh, here's the filing with a list of creditors. Does anyone know if filing in Florida is significantly different from NY? Did he move to FL for this?
Ah, I goofed, forgetting that I was in PACER. Anyway, suffice to say that Manny owes a lot of people a lot of money.Oh, here's the filing with a list of creditors. Does anyone know if filing in Florida is significantly different from NY? Did he move to FL for this?
