Korg nanoKONTROL2 for Home Studio?

Now that my music is moving from the "composing" stage to the "recording" stage, I'm looking to get my home recording set up for that. I AM TIRED OF CLICKING EVERY KNOB AND DIAL WITH A MOUSE AND I CAN'T AFFORD A TOUCH SCREEN.

These Korg surfaces have perked my eye. Anybody have any experience on interfacing these with a DAW? They really seem to fit the need, but I always like to dig a bit deeper first.

They don't have motorized faders, so every time you move up or down a fader bank, you'll have to adjust each fader to reflect their position on the screen. Without scribble strips it makes this task even more time consuming. The workflow interruption this creates is not worth the effort.

Spend more and buy a proper control surface. You can find Mackie Control Universal units (the non-Pro model) for cheap on eBay all the time. Even a Behringer BCF2000 would be light years ahead of this.

That's exactly the kind of info on stuff I don't have much experience that I'm looking for.
