Such a cool picture! The head in the middle is the early version referred to as a "Frankie" due to the extra large top (forehead) overhang. Kustom guitars are rarely seen.

Kustom / Kasino et als / Budd Ross has died.

LOL, just gotta say...You guys who have kept all your gear from the 60s, 70s, and 80s make me JEALOUS AF!
Guess Who is Canadian and I saw em live with whole back line was Kustom
Best cabinet I ever heardnext to vintage Acoustic and Sunn was a Kustom with 3-15 JBLs. Made a believer out of me for JBLs in Kustoms.
CTS in mine seems to be weakest link but always held its own against everything but Marshall stacks
Your eyes must have been playing tricks on you because The Guess Who only used Garnet Amps and that was because they were from Winnipeg and so was Gar Gillies who made Garnet amps, they supported each other.

I readily admit I didn't know much about amps in 1970 but guys brought Fender and Kustom Katalogs to school in 69 which we stufldued intensely . Kustom offered every configuaration and every color / style in those catalogs. Very comprehensive and probably expensive to produce in color
Again I only knew Silvertone Fender Kustom and later Marshall's Had I only known Acoustic 361 was available but I doubt I could have bought a 361 for $375 which is how much my K200B cost in 71
That must be the case.I saw them many times here in Toronto and they always had a backline of Garnet amps including PA. But enough of this, now back to Kustom gear.

I've used this Kasino 2x15 that my friend owns quite a lot over the last decade. Thing probably weighs 150lbs which is only magnified by it having almost comical "strap" handles; as if someone is just going to one hand it like a briefcase of rock n' roll. Sounds really good with everything I've put through it (or put it through!).

I've been looking for one of those ross distortion pedals; it's weird, you can't give these amps away around here; I've used a kustom bass head off and on for years and it sounds great and never let me down...
