Lacquer flake, how worried should I be?

Is there maybe a replacement set of tuners you can recommend?
In my area my options are extremely limited and ordering better fitting tuners would be my pretty much only option I fear.

And with 2 basses that each have 4 crooked tuners now, grabbing a train and leaving them in a shop somewhere with a several hundreds euro bill for each would be devastating, I'd have to manage to sell one afterwards to cover it.
USA Hipshots are the logical replacements. It’s a good company. But some Thunderbird owners have reported issues with the licensed versions that for cost reason, Gibson decided to go with. Some owners went through Gibson re the issues. Others went through Hipshot.

My 2022 NR had some nitro lacquer hanging out over the edge of the tuner holes when I got it. Only found it while investigating a buzz I was getting from the washer on the D string's tuning machine. I carefully trimmed it back with a razor blade so it was flush with the hole. I could see a tuner shifting and putting pressure on the lacquer and causing flaking like this.

Hard to hold into place and take a picture 😅
But the bushing slots into the tuner before actual threading starts.
I measured about 1.2mm of threading actually being used when tightened.

I'm the first owner I have had it since 2021 and they are the original hipshots the backs read 5.B (C)
They managed to hold out for a couple years but they are clearly to short 😂

I will look into hipshot USA ones if these gotohs ever give out.
