Lady Gaga strange bass

... I have to admit that I enjoy seeing the effect my saying I like her has on the pious, geezers, etc.
Here we go with the age hate again.:rollno:

If you want to see real shock value coupled with actual vocal talents, you might check out Etta James. This "geezer" doesn't see anything new or special here; LGG doesn't offer much other than some new playfare, IMO. YMMV.

LOL!! This is exactly what I enjoy about liking LGG.

I'm 55. No age hate here.

As far as Etta goes she's a great singer but so what. Apples and oranges as far as I'm concerned. I enjoy Etta's soulfulness and enjoy the theater of LGG presentations.

And that is perfectly cool. I was more referring to Etta's off-stage style, if you know about that.

Didn't get your age reference; apologies for misinterpreting. Actually, I'm kind of surprised to hear about shock value in reference to LGG; production level more comes to my mind.

if lady gaga wore a normal dress instead of meat, and didn't turn her shows into gay cabaret x 100,000, everyone would be saying how talented she is. sorry, but she's talented and you can't take that away from her. you may not like her music or her presentation or her attitude, but those who say she's not talented are listening with their eyes.

I agree with jimmy. While her styling and public actions are rather questionable, she CAN sing, and her songs get stuck in my head even though I don't like her music,so she's obviously doing something right.

She's a manufactored Pop Icon. But she does have plenty of talent.

She's an actual musician, which is more than you can say for a large majority of Pop Icons. I do believe she has a good singing voice.

She's a performer and she seems to do fine with that, too.

I don't like her music and generally I'm not all that impressed with the art of the costumes in her Bad Romance video, in terms of creativity or being new.

It's a big mish mash of cherry picking visual/costume art from H.R. Giger, the art of the costumes in 1992 Bram Stoker's Dracula, Resident Evil and art/costumes Marlyn Manson used many years ago. Not really all that new, unique or creative....as some people seem to think it is.

Ultimately she's a Pop Icon and should be viewed within that context. I also think there's a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor to a lot that she does.

Obviously she is greatly influenced by Madonna, which is what it is.

I don't find her particularly attractive. But, she looks good in white panties and bra. Nice Ass:D:D.

And it's funny that in the Bad Romance video she can both repulse me and get me horny, in the same video, lol. :D

I agree with a lot of that. Nobody is completely original. Madonna, Bowie, Genesis, etc. all borrowed. What they all did was combine a kind of theater with music.

Still I find it interesting and/or amusing that her (LGG) overt sexual references in her videos or stage act cause such a reaction among so-called musicians.
