Enjoy!

I remember the first time I fell in love with LPB was in a Fender brochure in the late 1990's that I picked up from a local music store. Fender had recently introduced a "1962 Jazz Bass" into the "American Vintage" line. Tinted maple neck, rosewood fretboard, stacked vol/tone controls, ashtrays over the pickups and bridge, cream pickguard... and Lake Placid Blue finish. It was the first time I had looked at a Fender and said "wow, that thing is GORGEOUS!"

But since it seems to be so popular, part of me is starting to wonder if I should be a contrarian and go with Burgundy Mist instead! :p

This is my Fender Japan '62 reissue. It looks stock, but it did not come like that. I fabricated the mint green guard, replaced the tuners with lefty reverse wind Pre- CBS style, along with a period correct thumb rest, and bridge. Duncan 60's p-bass pickup, and Switchcraft jack, 250k CTS pots, and an orange drop cap with cloth wiring. It's strung with D'addario Chromes. It's a great bass.
