Thanks for the info. The 4-94 is coming with TI flats so I'll give 'em a try...I've never been a flat guys. I like my round wounds. I have also tried half-rounds once and absolutely hated them. Took them off after 20 minutes and sold them on TB!

Gigged with my Dingwall tonight. Can't wait for the fretless to show up (should be here Wed. or Thurs.....my birthday is Tuesday!) I've been wanting the fretless sound for about a year now.

Flats sure can sound cool, but try as I might, I really don't like the way they feel.

I've really wanted to try half-rounds, but after reading some of the posts here...maybe I won't bother.
So here's a question for you guys.... When it comes to picking colors on your basses, do you just consider each bass independently (and disregard the current colors in your stable), or do you try to mix and match accordingly with the other basses. Just wondering.

What flats did you try? Chromes seem to be a great gateway string to flats. I might put something else on the Surfer for a more dub tone.
i vote for w/e you want to put on it at the time. i just go with what i like, really. the stingray has the trans teal finish, which is the best finish on the EBMM basses, imo. The proto...is the proto, so no messing with that one.
Ideally, i'd have liked to have gotten a black sparkle/maple neck dj4, but white/rosewood should be ok.

i'm thinking about putting the chromes i got for the sterling (traded it after stealing the black hardware) onto the dj4 i'm getting. fralins and chromes. hmmmmm.

i think sea foam won't find itself into my collection ever. just like natural finish with lighter colored woods.
