Me no likey Ampeg or tubes. Did both for over a decade, thought I couldn't sound much better. Then someone on the Dingwall forum recommended a Carvin B1500 and I've been happy ever since. I recently switched to GB Shuttle 6.0s for weight saving when I gig. They have a tube pre but they almost sound as good as the Carvins. It's weird though, all my heroes play thru Ampeg, reckon it's just not my personal flava.
I dunno, your English teacher must have been pretty bad.Better? He he he! You guys are worse than my English teacher![]()

I love the added wooliness of the Ampeg, and love the overdriven sound. I actually played a Carvin head for about 8 years! What to buy it cheap?
Whatcha got? I gotta buddy who's just starting out and needs an amp. PM me![]()

Quick stupid Glaub question. I picked up another new P/G for my glaub and put it on...bass didn't work...messed with it, loud noise when I touched both knobs and volume, but nothing if I didn't. Took it off and put the old pickguard on...worked beautifully??? I noticed on the old P/G that there looked like shielding tape on the P/G where the pots mount, but on the new one there is not. Is that all I need to do is put some shielding tape on the P/G? Where can I get shielding tape? There are no real music stores within an hour drive of here. Thanks again....I am trying to keep myself pre-occupied until my FedEx delivery tomorrow....55-02!
man, I'd love to have that DJ4 if it looks like this:

my favorite color scheme for sure.
And that BG5 sounded ridiculously good at the LOG Event... I wish my pockets were deeper, but I have something up my sleeve I think.
8 ohms = 150 watts
Running two matching cabs would be cool and give you the 200 watts.
