I had a similar issue with Hipshot D-tuner sleeves, luckily I had 2 others installed on the other DJ's & was able to "mix & match' to make that work out.

I say I change the sails with the wind pretty much. There's the big band that plays classical jazz (Duke Ellington, Count Basie etc.) and variety, - but I confess I don't really spend much time with them lately (have skipped several months - sorry!) but will be sticking to them again very soon. I like the music but I hate that there is no playing in summer. Pretty much J and P sounds.
Then there's metal - I've played metal with a few bands, the last one being melodic metal w/some prog, and they were the reason I skipped the big band because I could make something original. The cool thing is you have place for lots of things to do with sound, so J60, J70, P and MM all the way, sometimes even a few changes in a song. The 55-94 is just great for that, and I use the pan and coil switch more often than the freq knobs.
Lately, I was invited to play with a band who play the nostalgetic 70-ies soviet music of youth bands. Hard to explain, it was something more publicly acceptable than rock at that time. They called it the VIA, standing for Vocal Instrumental Ensemble music. A few examples of what it was like:



I have played a 2 hour gig with them and... oh... I owe you pics of the perfect glistening outfit and a few vids

I absolutely love her! She goes in in a line wich only two other basses ever have, as a "stayer".

lol...idk what they've got goin on down there...told ya there was somethin funky bout chifax's headstock...

So Marcus, thanks for the 411. So are you saying it should be a regular phillips head screw in there, cause it looks like it must be missing if that is the case.

Maybe that is why it's so loud when the preamp is on, because there is no adjustment screw in there at all.

I guess maybe I need to contact the guys at Lakland and see if I can get them to send me out a screw.:hmm:

It wasn't the bass, the tuners aren't exactly the same as the stock '07 Skyline: bigger non-tapered posts, tighter (easier to strip) threading. They were a tight fit, had to work em in.

Yeah...a smallish screwdriver on the LH3. It's on the circuit board.
