That's what I was thinking...I remember you mentioning it before. Minimal wear on ebony? I don't do a lot of string bending...more slide vibrato if much of any.

I absolutely love her! She goes in in a line wich only two other basses ever have, as a "stayer".

hey has anyone had an issue with the stacked knobs getting a little stuck? for instance when you want to raise the volume on a pickup you change(turn) the tone accidentally. i just scored a U S jobo and sometimes the knobs seem to "grind" together in a certain part of the revolution. Does anyone know of a fix. perhaps a little graphite based lubricant? thanks in advance a very happy new Lakland owner.
Sucks you can't get natural/maple with black blocks in the 5er.
anyone been in touch with leo and has he mentioned posting the list? i got tired of waiting so i bought a few things that go boom.

Can anyone tell me what year my DJ5 serial # 04094841 was made?
Thanks a ton guys!
P.S. Anyone have a Jeannie's PG that would fit it they want to sell?
Before i go and order the wrong bass (how can a Lakland be wrong eh) can anyone describe the differences in the necks.
Im loved my old 55-01 neck and i believe the JO5 is the same but i really like the look do the DJ5 neck.
Im going to have to buy the bass un played as i dont have the time to track one down so will have to order it first.
Thanks.
great looks!
somehow, it reminds me of Darth Vader
I almost swapped my P5 for a JO5 last month but it all fell through.
I woke up today and thought, I want (need) a Lakland. Ive always loved block inlays so a DJ5 seemed the perfect bass but what colour to get.
The toss up is/was White or Black but now is 100% black thanks to these pics.
I think the first 2 numbers are the year, so that would make it a 2004.
